12What does the School Community do to Prepare?
13When will the TEAM DAY occur?
- Teams are being formed and training will be
completed by December 31, 2006. - The Office of Catholic Schools will begin
scheduling the Team Days during the month of
January. - The goal is to complete a minimum of seven Team
Days annually. (2006 will be adjusted) - Team Days will not be scheduled at the same time
as an Accreditation Visit but may coincide with
the year of the visit.
14Where does the school accommodate the members of
the Team?
- The team will arrive and depart the same day and
requires no overnight accommodations. - A quiet room should be set aside so that team
members can share observations, review compliance
issues and write the Team Day Report. - The Office of Catholic Schools will cover mileage
reimbursement and minor expenses. - The Office of Catholic Schools will provide
identification badges for team members.
15Why is this Team Day a new requirement for
Catholic Schools?
Bishop Harrington is responsible for the
Catholicity of the institutions in the Diocese of
Winona. He affirms the need to use a strong and
valid accreditation process and recognizes that
MNSAA and other organizations are not
specifically focused on Catholic Schools. Bishop
believes we must assess our identity as Catholic
believers and challenge ourselves to make the
Gospel come alive in our learning environment.
16How does this process strengthen our Identity as
Catholic Educators?
- Provides a Tool to assess our effectiveness.
- Offers a concrete way to outline goals and
strategies for planning and improvement in our
relationships as Catholic believers. - Challenges us to raise the standards in our
school community and integrate our values into
all academic areas.
17Will others see us as CATHOLIC?
