EXPERIENCES RELATED TO THE APPLICATION OF GIS

• Expert in use of Geographic Information System
  for modelling hydrological aspects of land
  degradation at basin and regional scale.
• Expert in integration of multi-source data for
  environmental analysis for regional studies using
  GIS.
• Since 1995 GIS-consultant for the World
  Meteorological Organisation. Responsible of the
  development of a Land System Analysis and a
  Current System Analysis for the determination of
  agricultural and pastoral risk zones of nine
  countries, in the Sahel region, in the framework
  of Famine Early Warning System.
• Scientific Coordinator of WMO IATA-RMTC

• Co-author of WEB page of WMO and Italian

• The Institute of Agrometeorology and
  Environmental Analysis for Agriculture is active
  in the field of
• research, transfer of knowledge and training in
  advanced meteorology, climatology and
  applications to land management, agriculture,
  forestry, health, transport and urban planning
• To achieve these goals, up to date and innovative
  techniques of measurements are used in
  micrometeorology, eco-physiology, earth

  information, system analysis and modelling.
