Modularity Facility Planning Guidance (for
temporary relocatable facilities)
- Maximum use of existing permanent facilities
will be made to accommodate modularity facility
requirements. Facility requirements that cannot
be met by use of existing facilities will be met
by use of temporary relocatable facilities. - Expected duration of the requirement is 6 10
years. -
- Individual relocatable modules costing more
than 250,000 must be purchased with OPA funds.
Modules costing less than 250,000 may be
purchased with OMA funds. - Unaccompanied Personnel Housing
- Unaccompanied Personnel will be housed at
current PP standard for the installation ex.
11 _at_ Ft Stewart, (single man rooms), 22 at Ft
Drum and Ft Campbell, etc. - 111 relocatable module is acceptable
permanent party standard. (illustration shown)
4Modularity Facility Planning Guidance (for
temporary relocatable facilities - continued)
- Unit Operations Facilities (Co, BN, BDE
Headquarters). - Unit Ops facilities will be at 50 of Army
standard-- 5,000 sf/unit is acceptable. - Generic Admin and Supply/Storage modules will
be used. This allows the most flexibility in
setup, use, and eventual removal. - COMSEC Storage closets not authorized. Class V
safes will be used. - The cost of Modular Arms Vaults placed in a
Unit Ops module is additive to the cost of the
Ops module when assessing applicability of OMA or
OPA funds. - Modular Arms Vaults sited external to Unit Ops
modules are not considered buildings unless
provisions are made in the vault for human
occupancy. Elsewise, they are considered storage
containers. - Maintenance Facilities.
- Each unit will be assigned maintenance bays in
existing permanent motor pools. - Additional Organizational Vehicle Parking and
relocatable maintenance shelters (Clamshells type
facilities) may be procured to augment existing
motor pools. Rational is to have all units at
the same standard until the temporary mission
ends or permanent, adequate facilities are
constructed.
5Modularity Facility Planning Guidance (for
temporary relocatable facilities - continued)
- Unaccompanied Personnel Dining will be
accommodated by longer meal service hours and
bussing to existing Dining Facilities. - NEPA documentation needs to be as comprehensive
as the Installation can define it. - Annual and Weekend Training will not be
compromised. - Modular buildings will use Commercial grade
materials and finishes. Examples - Solid core wood or steel doors. Steel door
frames. Three hinges. - Walls no less than 2X4 thickness.
- Insulating, low-e glazing.
- Vinyl covered wallboard.
- Vinyl tile flooring.
