Title: A Year in images
12006
- A Year in images
- Project ERJ 145
- Spain
Dedicated to my fellow sufferers one day there
will be a help organisation for us, started by
our families
2In May 2005, I was a happy man. My Girlfriend had
relented, and I had built a home flightdeck in my
living room. I was enchanted by the idea, and my
kids began to think I was a bit crazy.
My eldest daughter, Natalie, landing the box in
Lisbon
308 Sept 2005 I receive this picture from Peter
Cos from then on, I dont remember very much,
Doctor....
4Its just...until then Id been happy with my
desktop my mouse was everything to me - then my
world fell apart I was flying for work for 3-4
days per week on ERJ 145s, and one day, in
Oporto, I asked the captain to show me the
flightdeck......
5Then this FDS held an open day, and I had that
blinding flash of inspiration Doctor, in
retrospect, as I lay on this couch talking to
you, I think it was the first signs of madness
I believed could do that, and in my garage, alone!
6Well, lets get started! My search was that of
the demented dimensions, dimensions where do we
EMB builders go? Dimensions courtesy of Embraer
7In November 2005, we moved to Spain, near to
Manresa, I dug out my jigsaw, and off we went....

21Katie, my youngest, enjoying the preflight
briefing in Madrid
22My sincere thanks to Peter, Enrico, Pete, Marco,
Tim, Maurice, Tom, Thomas, and all of the regular
contributors to the various help forums who have
helped me with my addiction during the year we
are not yet there, guys, but I am grateful for
your often unsolicited support.
My conclusion is that my children will be more
willing to pay for the retirement home for their
poor demented father, as he moves close and
closer to dementia in a F/O shirt. (Not yet a
Capitain at your age?) Well, I could lie....
A very Happy 2007 from all of us on project EMB
