What is a Learning Platform?BECTA Definition
  • A learning platform brings together hardware,
software and supporting services to enable more
effective ways of working within and outside the
classroom. They can vary considerably, but every
learning platform should provide a range of
    ICT-based functions
  • Content management
  • Curriculum mapping and planning
  • Learner engagement and administration
  • Tools and services
  • A learning platform is therefore not a single
'off the shelf' product but a collection of tools
that are designed to support teaching, learning,
    management and administration.

Together we can
Schools Action
  • Clusters definition
  • A network is a group of organisations working
together to solve problems or issues of mutual
concern that are too large for any one
organisation to handle on its own.
  • Clusters decisions
  • It is strongly advised for clusters to choose the
KLZ together as first stage engagement.
  • It is recommended to then choose your VLE
provider as a united decision where possible.
