  • LabView Works!
  • Timing synchronized (within bounds).
  • Digital IO with FPGA.
  • Pattern generation signal processing.
  • May need a new DIO board.

The FPGA
  • THE FPGA WORKS!!!!
  • It accepts data serially from LABView and routes
    it to the appropriate pins.
  • Problems overcome
  • Improper software modules
  • Clocking
  • Crosstalk
  • Pin-out maps
  • Non-robust design software

What Needs Work

  • Voltage Regulator works
  • 2.5 MHz LPF works
  • Amps only give up to 15dB of gain
  • Attenuators only give up to 10dB of attenuation
  • Filters around 42 MHz are not providing
    sufficient bandpass filtering
  • Mixers produces extra side lobes

Power Amplifier
  • Ground is actually 120 volts! (RMS)
  • Damaged the digital IO board.
  • Needs a new wall plug to prevent accidents.

Newmark Status
  • Control board returned to manufacturer and
    repaired under warranty
  • Control board responds to data requests but wont
    drive the motors
  • Possible damage to the driver circuits and/or the
    motors themselves

Recommendations
  • Use Eagle for layout
  • Focus project more on signal processing portions
    of MRI
  • Recommend two of ECEn 443, 460, 487
  • Buy an impedance analyzer
