Troop Cookie Manager Duties
  • Be the point of contact for the parents/guardians
    who's girls are participating in the program
  • Understanding and training on procedures/forms
    involved with the Cookie Sale Activity
  • Make sure every registered girl in the troop is
    given the opportunity to participate in the
    program
  • Keep accurate records of money and cookies and
    keep complete detailed records of all
    transactions
  • Make sure money is deposited into the Council
    Bank Account every three days

Troop Leader Duties
  • Understanding of the Girl Scout Cookie Program
    and its benefits to girls
  • Work with the girls in setting the troop goal and
    the girls personal goals
  • Work with the girls on safety while participating
    in the Cookie Program
  • Work with the girls to plan and carry out the
    troop cookie activities

  • Cookie Price is 3.50 (plus .21 tax in Idaho)
  • Troop Proceeds is .45 - Service Unit Proceeds
    is .01 Cookie Bonus Program is .23
  • Make checks payable to Girl Scouts of Silver
    Sage Council
  • All Girl Scouts (including Daisies) are
    encouraged to participate

Cookie Guidelines
  • Cookie sales on the Internet is prohibited by
    GSUSA
  • Contact Council Headquarters for any customer
    complaints
  • Money is only collected at the time product is
    distributed
  • Always count with another person complete
    receipts
  • Money earned from product program is to be used
    for Girl Scouting purposes at no time does it
    belong to an individual

  • Cookie Bonus 50 packages or more
  • Bar patch 200 packages or more
  • Imagine If patch/pin 200 pre-order packages or
    more

Cookie Booth
  • A successful Cookie Booth takes team work between
    the Troop Leader, Troop Cookie Manager and parent
    support
  • The Troop Leader prepares the girls by working on
    Sales Technique, Courtesy, Counting Change, Troop
    Goal, Gift of Caring Program, and girl-designed
    goal posters
  • The Troop Cookie Manager organizes the logistics,
    where and when to have the cookie booth, signing
    up parent support, scheduling the girls, provides
    table, cash box w/ change, has enough cookie
    inventory and assures the cookies will be stored
    safe and dry during the booth sale

  • Turn in your signed Troop Cookie Manager
    Agreement to your Service Unit Cookie Manager by
    December 1st

  • Hold a parent meeting to train the parents and
    girls on the details of the Cookie Program

Cookie Club
  • The Cookie Club is a web site where girls can go
    online to
  • Learn about the power of goal-setting
  • Set their goals
  • Track their progress toward their goals
  • Reach their goals
  • Plan whom theyll ask and monitor that progress
  • In the Cookie Club, girls have at their
    fingertips important tools they need to have a
    successful Cookie Season

  • Distribute Girl Order Cards to the girls by
    January 9th
  • Girls begin taking pre-orders on January 9th
  • Collect Order Cards and Distribute Goal Getter
    Order Cards on January 27th
  • Troop pre-orders must be entered and submitted in
    eBUDDE by January 29th

  • February 18th 24th your Service Unit Cookie
    Order will be delivered
  • February 24th girls can begin delivering cookies
    to their customers that placed pre-orders
  • February 27th March 15th direct customer sales
    and booth sales take place

Additional Cookies
  • Additional cookies are always available through
    March 16th
  • Contact your Service Unit Cookie Manager to place
    additional orders or let them know if you have
    extra cookies
  • Additional Cookies can be transferred from other
    troops
  • Additional Cookies may be in your Service Unit
    Cupboard
  • Additional Cookies maybe contracted from a
    Council Cupboard
  • Additional Cookies may need to be shipped to your
    Service Unit Cookie Manager

Banking
  • Troop Cookie Managers should collect money from
    girls/parents every two to three days
  • Checks should be deposited into the Council Bank
    Account at least every three days
  • Cash should be deposited into the Troop Bank
    Account
  • All Council Deposits should be entered in eBUDDE
    frequently and the validated deposit slips should
    be forwarded to Council
  • The troops should avoid over depositing into the
    Council Bank Account

March
  • Review your troop records in eBUDDE
  • Do the transactions match with your records?
  • Have you entered Council deposits (are they
    verified)?
  • Have you entered in the number of packages for
    each girl?
  • By March 17th meet with each parent/guardian to
    collect final amount due and sign off the Parent
    Receipt/Responsibility Contract

Outstanding Debt Report
  • If a parent or troop does not turn in the full
    amount due by the deadline date, the TCM or SUCM
    must complete this form and submit to Council
    Headquarters with supporting documentation
  • Signed Permission Slip
  • Signed Parent Receipt/Responsibility Contract
  • Receipts for Money and Cookies
  • Copy of Information and Consent Form
