break up into groups to learn more about each
sense!

look at all of the objects,
shapes, and colors around us in our
everyday lives.

- We use our eyes to see things.
- What are some things we can use our eyes to see?
8 Sight Lets have some fun!Read
the Directions Carefully1.) In your groups,
walk around the classroom and try to find as
many different surfaces you can see your
reflection in.2.) Write down what you find.3.)
Include a description of your reflection. Is it
blurry, clear, or silly looking?4.) Why do
you think your reflection looks different on
certain surfaces?5.) Share your findings with
your group.

to listen to the different
noises and sounds in our everyday
surroundings.

- What are some things we can use our ears to hear?
11 Use your ears and Read the
Directions Carefully1.) Listen Carefully to the
noises playing.2.) Try and see if you can guess
what each noise is.3.) Write down your
guesses.4.) Meet with your group and check your
answers.
12Taste This sense
allows us to taste the
yummy flavors in
the foods we eat.

- Things we taste can be sweet, sour, bitter or
salty. - What are some things we can use our tongues and
mouths to taste? -
14 Taste Exercise Read Directions
Carefully1.) Put the blindfold around your
eyes.2.) I will come around with different
samples of food.3.) Take a bite and try to guess
what type of food it is.4.) Describe the
taste of the food. Is it sweet, salty,
bitter, or sour?
15Smell This sense allows
us to smell different scents around
us.

- What are some things we can use our noses to
smell?
17 Lets use our noses! Read Directions
Carefully 1.) Hold the numbered scent
containers next to your nose. 2.) Guess
which scent is inside of each container. 3.)
Write down your guesses on a piece of paper. 4.)
Discuss your answers with your group.
18Touch Touch This
sense allows us to feel all of
the different textures
and objects around us.

- We can use our entire body to feel things. We
can use our toes, legs, fingers, arms, or
anything else we can think of. - What are some things we can touch?
20 Read Directions Carefully1.) Take
turns passing around the Feeling Box.2.) Stick
your hand in the box, but do not take out
the objects.3.) Try and guess the objects you
felt that were inside of the box.4.) Write
down your answers on a piece of paper.5.)
Discuss your guesses with your group to see if
you came up with the same answers.
