O my God, without your help I, unworthy human
that I am, cannot hold to my decision to live a
virgin life before you. Conceived and born in
sin, Out of my own strength I cannot conquer the
lusts of the flesh. Give me, then, the fiery
gift to quench this burning in your power, so
that with a right desire I may drink from the
source of life that gives me joy. Truly I am
nothing but crumbling ashes I behold the works
of darkness and not of light.

Mary, the New Creation
O glittering gem! The suns purest
ornament poured forth as a bubbling spring of
life in you, out of the heart of the
Father. Through this, his sole Word, he created
the primeval element of the earth that Eve
spoiled. In you the Father formed that Word into
a human being therefore you are the glowing
primal matter through which the Word sent forth
the powers of all virtues with a breath, as it
awakened the form of every creature to life.

A Song to Mary
You glowing, most green verdant sprout, in the
movement of the spirit, in the midst of wise and
holy seekers You bud forth into light! Your time
to blossom had come. Balsam scenting, in you the
most beautiful flower blossomed. It is the
beautiful flower that lends its scent to those
herbs, all that had shriveled and wilted. It
brings them lush greeness once more.

The first seed of the longing for Justice blows
through the soul like the wind. The taste for
good will plays in it like a breeze. The
consummation of this seed is a greening in the
soul that is like that of the ripening
world. Now the soul honors God by the doing of
just deeds. The soul is only as strong as its
works.

Wedding
O virgin Church, how great your pain That at the
cunning counsel of the serpent The wild wolf tore
your beloved children From your side. But how
precious is the Saviors blood, Who beneath the
victorious banner of the cross Wed himself to the
Church And won back her children!

Mother Church Vision Three, Book Two of Scivias
The earth is at the same time mother, she is
mother of all that is natural, mother of all
that is human. She is the mother of all, for
contained in her are the seeds of all. The
earth of humankind contains all moistness, all
verdancy, all germinating power. It is in so
many ways fruitful. All of creation comes from
it. Yet it forms not only the basic raw material
for humankind, but is the substance of the
incarnation of Gods son.

Life After Death A happy life is what I
desire In the peace of eternity. Even in the time
of my lifes blooming, As I grow and ripen toward
holiness, I will remember my Creator With good
and holy deeds. The time will come when flesh
and blood will shrink, down to the bones. The
ashes of the body will sink Into the dust of the
earth from which I was made They will then be
absorbed in another life.
The spirit that animated my body will leave it
and return To the Lord of creation, Who
graciously bestowed it on my body. You, Creator,
are like a blacksmith Who kindles the fire with a
bellows, Turns the iron around To finish the work
at hand. When guided by good deeds, I find my
way home to eternal joy Let me see the purest
light. Let me hear the songs of the angels And
retrieve in joy The longed-for garment of my
body That I have put aside.

While humankind was being beguiled by the advice
of the snake I made my passionate appearance. In
the enkindled womb of the virgin I came to
rest. I became human in her flesh. After I came
forth from the virgins womb, I brought humankind
home again in the waters of baptism through
which I purified the human seed.

Show yourself to me in the beauty of your
precepts so that I might with all my love hold
you fast in my soul. Incarnating, you have
redeemed me dying you have awakened me. Now you
have brought all your work to fullness in virgin
nature you found pasture, in virgin nature you
assumed flesh.

Creation is allowed in intimate love, to speak to
the Creator as if to a lover. Creation is
allowed to ask for a pasture, a homeland. Out of
the Creators fullness, the request is granted to
Creation.

Heavenly Joy
When I open my eyes, My God, on all that you have
created I have heaven already in my
hands. Serenely I gather in my lap Roses and
lilies and all green things While I praise your
works. My own works I ascribe entirely to
you. Gladness springs forth from sorrow, And joy
brings happiness.
