with the various salons around Ruston.

whos familiar with the existing system at
    Elandas Hair Gallery.
  • Elandas Hair Gallery (High)
  • Elanda is experienced with the existing system
    and business processes..
  • Elanda is the only person who deals with the
    existing system.

FEASIBILITY ANALYSISTechnical (Moderate)
  • Familiarity with Technology (Moderate)
  • Tech Solutions (High)
  • As a whole, our members have gain considerable
understanding of the current issues in the world
of Information Technology through experiences in
the Computer Information System curriculum and
    various work experiences.
  • Elandas Hair Gallery (Low)
  • Elanda has little knowledge of computers.

9
FEASIBILITY ANALYSISOrganizational (High)
  • Project Champion
  • Elanda, Owner of Elandas Hair Gallery
  • Senior Management
  • Elanda is owner and supervisor of her hair
salon.  She is very excited about the
implementation of the new web scheduling and
    inventory management system.

10
FEASIBILITY ANALYSISOrganizational (High)
  • Users
  • The users of Elandas Appointment system would be
any potential customer that she might have,
including the current ones who feel this would be
a great way to schedule hair appointments.
  • The hair techs at Elandas would also be using
the system for tracking appointments and
    scheduling people who called in.
  • Elanda believes the customers would be the most
important users because her system would be the
first web based system  in this area and also
give her a new presence in the web market.

11
FEASIBILITY ANALYSISOrganizational (High)
  • Stakeholders
  • Customers would benefit from this system because
they would not have to wait as long as before.
They know that when they schedule an appointment,
the hair tech will be ready to take care of
them.  Prior to this, if someone called in, the
old paper method could get lost and appointments
    were overlapping.
  • Also the system will be able to track customers
and their habits so they would have the ability
to offer incentives or promotions based on their
    clients history.

Risk Reduction
  • Size Risk (Low)
  • Current Risk
  • The project already has low risk. The low
implementation time, lack of other systems and
    departments involved, moderate amount of
development time, and the one vendor involved has
kept risk at a minimum.Cumulative Risk Score

  • Adjustments
  • None.

21
Risk Reduction
  • Technology Risk (Moderate)
  • Current Risk
  • Technology risk is at a moderate level, but can
be reduced by training employees on the
information system. Employees also have limited
experience with the new computer and server
    hardware.Cumulative Risk Score 30Possible

Risk Reduction
  • Technology Risk (Moderate)
  • Adjustments
  • Expose employees to the new hardware and system
to be implemented so that they will know what to
    expect once implementation occurs.Risk After

Attributed to Technology After Adjustments 12.43

23
Risk Reduction
  • Structured Risk (Moderate)
  • Current Risk
  • The project has a moderate structure risk. The
primary high risk factor would be the lack of
joint ISD-customer team. On the contrary,
    management is already extremely enthusiastic
about the project.Cumulative Risk Score 33

Risk Reduction
  • Structured Risk (Moderate)
  • Adjustments
  • Having a part-time customer representative to
assist the team with the implementation of the
system would decrease the structured risk.Risk
