  • Offers a wide range of mediation services
  • Conducts conflict resolution skills training

What Is Conflict ?
  • The naturally occurring tension that arises
    between individuals and/or groups as a result of
    real or perceived differences.

How Do You Resolve a Conflict?
  • Do nothing, ignore the situation
  • Give in to the other person
  • Get into an argument or a fight
  • Sue the other person
  • Talk to the other person

  • Allows the parties involved to create their own

    preserving and enhancing personal and

  • With a neutral third person (mediator)
  • Where the parties involved work together through
    interest based negotiations

    the conflict

  • Does not decide on a solution

How Does The Process Work?
  • You contact the Dispute Resolution Center
  • The mediator assigned contacts you
  • The mediator contacts the other person
  • You have the mediation session(s)
  • You reach a collaborative resolution

What If A Resolution Isnt Achieved?
  • Over 80 of mediated cases resolve, in those
    cases where the parties involved are not able to
    reach a solution, the mediator will help the
    participants explore other possible options for
    resolution.
