Objectives of this Session

• Define the next level of detail that realizes the
  vision for caTissue Suite, to enable data sharing
  and consumption
• Provide the community with the opportunity to
  contribute to the objectives of the next release
  of caTissue Suite
• Collect use cases from end-users, ranging from
  biobankers to researchers
• Rank these use cases in order of their importance

How will this session be run?

• 430 445pm Introduction
• 445 600pm Breakout
• 800 900am Briefing of the breakout groups
• 900 930am Consolidation of findings
• Each group should list their objectives for
  caTissue Suite
• This list should include all objectives,
  regardless of their importance or when they might
  be implemented
• Objectives should be supported by use cases
• Each objective should be assigned a value between
  1 and 5 to indicate its importance, where 1 is
  least (nice to have) and 5 is most important
  (must have)
• There should be no discussion about the level of
  effort, or how these objectives should be
  implemented (beyond a description of the use case)

• Biobanking Functionality - A complete, functional
  biobanking solution that shares pathology and
  biobanking data between institutions on the GRID,
  and supports the roundtrip sharing and
  consumption scenario between institutions in a
  meaningful fashion
• Integration Full integration of the
  functionalities of caTissue Core, caTIES, and CAE
• Dynamic Extensions Provision of dynamic
  extension to customize the annotation
  functionality as necessary
• Query Interface A common query interface that
  supports the needs of biobankers and researchers,
  to allow for both federated and single site
  queries
• GRID Enablement GRID 1.0 enablement and caBIG
  Gold-level compliance
• Ordering, Shipping, Tracking, and Receiving
  Facilitate this functionality between
  institutions
• Data Sharing Enable IRB approved data sharing,
  including public/private data stores
• Enterprise Management User management including
  managing user roles and privileges across modules
  and between institutions.
• Backward Compatibility Ability to import
  databases generated with caTissue Core and caTIES
• System Improvements Overall system
  enhancements, especially overall usability
  improvements
