Title: Scheduling Your Patients
1Scheduling Your Patients Building a better

2In Enterprise 2008, your scheduler is much more
than a digital appointment book it is where
ActionManagers adaptive workflow begins. The
patient file is attached to a pre-determined
workflow showing where the patient will go and
what actions each staff member will take.
Driving flawless consistency starts when you
schedule the appointment.
3New schedules begin with all appointments white,
until colors are selected. The Schedule tab in
System Options reveals other Schedule settings.
4Schedules are viewable for all doctors at all
locations
Enterprise 2008 lets you color code the scheduler
to reflect the preferred appointment type at any
given time.
5The cursor tool tip shows the appointment type
clicking the Procedures view reveals the type for
all appointment colors.
6Scheduled appointments match the template color
of the appointment slot or row. In this weekly
? Bookings View, the patient last name and
initial are shown.
The selected patient is on the hook to be
scheduled. The patient file is attached to the
Action Manager workflow unique to each
appointment type.
7In this ? Daily View, the patients full name
and appointment type are shown.
8The Available Appointments window lets users
search for the first available appointment by
doctor, by type and by preferred day. Selecting
the appointment on the tree takes you there on
the scheduler also.
The Multiple View shows 4 schedules on the same
day, each independent of the others. Front Desk
will typically open several scheduler tabs,
mixing the views as needed.
9Once scheduled, an icon for each patient appears
on the Front Desk Action Manager. When the
patient arrives in the office, the workflow for
that visit is ready to click and go. Action
Manager templates where the patient will go and
what actions will be taken by staff at each work
area.

consistency of pre-appointing the next visit.
Clicking on the Next Appointment icon opens the
schedule one year ahead. The user may simply
double-click on the selected appointment slot.
The black border on the appointment reminds staff
next year that a pre-confirmation is required.
