Basic Skills
  • You must pass the HSPA in your junior year. This
    is a graduation requirement test.
  • If you scored partially proficient in any area of
    the HSPA, your schedule will automatically be
    revised to include HSPA Review.
  • To test out of HSPA Review
  • You must get an 85 or higher on exam
  • You must get an 80 or higher for 2Qs proceeding
    the exam
  • You must get teacher approval (HSPA content)

General Information
  • All prerequisites must be met before taking an
    advanced course.
  • Sophomores and juniors may take 40 credits
    (period 1).
  • Vocational Students must select a full schedule
    during preliminary scheduling.
  • Electives should be listed in order of
    preference.
  • Always choose an alternative elective.

Credit Summary
  • Freshman must successfully complete 30 credits to
    become a sophomore
  • Sophomores must successfully complete 60 credits
    to become a Junior
  • Juniors must successfully complete 95 credits to
    become a senior

    After June 30th the Add/Drop procedures are
    followed.
  • After June 30th ALL Add/Drop requests must be
    reviewed and approved by the administration.

  • IF YOU ARE COLLEGE BOUND, take courses that are
    challenging. Admissions representatives are
    looking for students with a desire to learn and
    the drive to challenge themselves.

Athletic Eligibility
  • Seniors must have at least 27.5 credits from the
    previous year to be eligible for fall sports.
  • You must be passing 27.5 credits at the mid-year
    point to be eligible to play spring sports.

  • Mrs. Ross will be calling you down individually.
  • Your course requests are put into the computer
    and scheduling for 09-10 begins.
  • You may be called down if there are conflicts to
    be resolved (mid-April through early June).
  • Schedules are mailed home over the summer.
  • IF YOU FAIL A CLASS and do not go to summer
    school your schedule will change accordingly.
