The Bank of High School Credits
  • In order to graduate, students must earn 230
credits total in their 4 years of high school.
  • Each course taken and passed is worth 5 credits.
Students take 6 classes per semester, and each

    credits per year.
  • In 4 years of high school, there are 240 credits
    possible.

Ds and Fs in High School
  • Fs earn no credit. The course would need to be
re-taken in order to graduate, usually in summer

Non-Academic Considerations
  • In acceptance considerations, non-academic
activities are accounted for. Schools like to
see a well rounded student. Below are some
    activities they look for.
  • Essay - U.C.s and Private schools take into
account the background of the student, including
any hardships the student or family has
encountered. The essay is a perfect place to
    document these.
  • Community Service/Volunteer Work
