Importance of Capstone Design

Teams

• 3 - 5 students per team.
• Pick team members based on compatibility, similar
  interests and different skills.
• A leader should be selected to coordinate
  meetings, etc.

Meeting Times

• Most meetings are 30 - 40 minutes once per week
  (Mon or Wed)
• Additional meetings during office hours are
  encouraged, especial during a week when a class
  is missed because of a holiday
• On 10/6 and 12/1, PowerPoint presentations are
  scheduled in MRDC 4211. You must be present for
  all presentations in your section.

End of Course Deliverables

• Written report and PowerPoint presentation
• Design problem description.
• Detailed discussion of your design solution.
• Proof-of-Concept (P.O.C.) convince the reader
  that the design meets the specifications and that
  it will not fail during its required life.
• Fabrication package sufficient to allow a shop to
  fabricate your design without further input.

  minimum standards for the course and the scope of
  work, method of proof-of-concept and list of
