• 53. They took Jesus to the high priest, and all
  the chief priests, elders and teachers of the law
  came together.
• 54.Peter followed him at a distance, right into
  the courtyard of the high priest. There he sat
  with the guards and warmed himself at the fire.

• Peter followed Jesus at a distance because he was
  not sure about what he was believing. In other
  words, he did not have the assurance of his
  faith.

•  2. Peter followed Jesus at a distance in very
  crucial and important moments because he believed
  and followed Jesus for the wrong reasons.

3. Lastly, Peter followed Jesus at a distance
because he didnt want to suffer and sacrifice
for Jesus. He misunderstood that following Jesus
has nothing to do with commitment.

Robert, his wife Dorothy, and their older son,
Theodore, died on January 30, 1947, as the result
of a plane crash near Hankow, China while they
were going to their mission station. Their
devotion, their missionary zeal, and their
radiant Christian lives were in keeping with the
highest traditions of the church of Jesus Christ
and his divinity school. For them, there is no
death.
