Reading
Scriptural Text Luke 191-10 (NLT)
21 Jesus entered Jericho and made his way through
the town. 2 There was a man there named
Zacchaeus. He was one of the most influential
Jews in the Roman tax-collecting business, and he
had become very rich.
3 3 He tried to get a look at Jesus, but he was
too short to see over the crowds.
4 So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree
beside the road, so he could watch from there.
4 5 When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus
and called him by name. "Zacchaeus!" he said.
"Quick, come down! For I must be a guest in your
home today." 6 Zacchaeus quickly climbed down
and took Jesus to his house in great excitement
and joy.
57 But the crowds were displeased. "He has gone to
be the guest of a notorious sinner," they
grumbled. 8 Meanwhile, Zacchaeus stood there
and said to the Lord, "I will give half my wealth
to the poor, Lord, and if I have overcharged
people on their taxes, I will give them back four
times as much!"
69 Jesus responded, "Salvation has come to this
home today, for this man has shown himself to be
a son of Abraham. 10 And I, the Son of Man,
have come to seek and save those like him who
are lost."
7Let the church say, Amen Let the church say,
Amen Let the church say, Amen, Amen, Amen!
8What or who are you pursuing at this point in
your life? For what or for whom are you
positioning yourself?
9 Luke 191-10 (NLT) vividly describes the
pursuing and positioning of a person of power and
prestige who wanted to get a glimpse of the
Prince of Peace, none other than Jesus Christ
Himself.
10PURSUING AND POSITIONING FOR THE PROXIMITY AND
PURPOSE OF JESUS CHRIST Scriptural Text Luke
191-10 (NLT)
11First, PRESTIGE AND POWER CARRY NO PROMISES OF
SEEING JESUS CHRIST, LET ALONE GETTING CLOSE TO
HIM. Prestige and Power alone can leave you
short. Prestige and Power alone cannot prevent
crowds from crowding out your view of Jesus
Christ.
12Second, PURSUING AND POSITIONING CAN GET YOU
WITHIN SEEING RANGE OF JESUS CHRIST. Pursuing
Jesus Christ must become a priority for all who
would see Him. Positioning for the purpose of
seeing Jesus Christ will take you to higher
levels.
13Third, PURSUING AND POSITIONING FOR SEEING JESUS
CHRIST PROVIDE SOME POWERFUL POTENTIAL FOR YOU
PERSONALLY. They put you in the position to be
seen by Jesus Christ.
They put you in the position to be personally
identified by Jesus Christ. They put you in the
position to be pressed into providing for Jesus
Christ.
14Fourth, PROVIDING FOR JESUS CHRIST PRODUCES
PRAISE AND PRACTICES WITHIN YOU THAT CANNOT BE
CONTAINED. You will experience great excitement
and joy providing for Jesus Christ. You will
experience close proximity with Jesus Christ
providing for Him.
15Regrettably, your producing praise within you
while in close proximity with Jesus Christ may
prompt player-hating in others who knew you
before you pursued Jesus Christ.
16Providing for Jesus Christ produces praiseworthy
practices by you that cannot be contained.
After your pardon by Jesus Christ, you ought to
be prompted to provide for the poor and penitence
for persons you have wronged.
17Fifth, PURSUING, POSITIONING, PROVID-ING,
PRODUCING AND PROCEEDING AFTER AND WHILE WITHIN
CLOSE PROXIMITY TO JESUS CHRIST WILL REWARD YOU
WITH A PRONOUNCEMENT BY JESUS CHRIST. Jesus
Christ prophesies that salvation will come to
your family. Jesus Christ pronounces His
purposeful priority pursuing persons who are lost.

PURPOSE OF JESUS CHRIST Scriptural Text Luke
191-10 (NLT)
19 First, PRESTIGE AND POWER CARRY NO PROMISES OF
SEEING JESUS CHRIST, LET ALONE GETTING CLOSE TO
HIM. Second, PURSUING AND POSITIONING CAN GET
YOU WITHIN SEEING RANGE OF JESUS CHRIST.
20Third, PURSUING AND POSITIONING FOR SEEING JESUS
CHRIST PROVIDE SOME POWERFUL, POTENTIAL FOR YOU
PERSONALLY. Fourth, PROVIDING FOR JESUS CHRIST
PRODUCES PRAISE AND PRACTICES WITHIN YOU THAT
CANNOT BE CONTAINED.
21 Fifth, PURSUING, POSITIONING, PROVIDING,
PRODUCING AND PROCEEDING AFTER AND WHILE WITHIN
CLOSE PROXIMITY TO JESUS CHRIST WILL REWARD YOU
WITH A PRONOUNCEMENT BY JESUS CHRIST.
