  • Searchable Standards...
  • I'm writing you a note to tell you how much the
special education case managers at Robert Farrell
School appreciate your searchable standards site.
We write student IEPs every week and having the
searchable standards makes it so easy to fit a
    student's individualized needs to the
    benchmarks. Thank you from Us,
  • Barb Moody Robert Farrell School Salem, Oregon

  • Practice Scoring...
  • This scoring of student work and getting feed
back was great. It really helped me to see how I
was scoring. I hope in the future we can have
some in all areas. Thanks again.

  • This is a wonderful chance for my students and I
to brush up on our scoring! What a wonderful
idea! Thank you and have a great day!

  • Research Based (the questions)
  • Did student performance on statewide assessments
improve over time in schools promoting
information literacy skills through the use of
    high quality resources?
  • Did performance improve on classroom research
assignments and projects making use of
    information literacy skills?

Quantitative results
17
Content for Learning
Qualitative results based on 81 teacher surveys
reflecting the work of 2,100 elementary through
high school age students.
  • Over 70 of teachers felt that lower performing
students had been successful in completing the
    assigned project.
  • Almost 3/4 of teachers felt that all students had
been successful in completing the assigned
    project.
  • Over 80 felt that students had found more
information than in the past and over 90 felt it
    was more relevant information.
  • Nearly 80 felt that overall the quality of the
    work by students had improved.

  • What Makes Us Different
  • COOLSchool believes in face-to-face education and
    complements local offerings to motivated
students. We do not offer a diploma nor do we
intend to replace face-to-face learning in high
    schools or home schools.
  • Every word of every lesson of every course is
open for your careful inspection. COOLSchool
courses are never hidden behind passwords or
    firewalls.
  • COOLSchool courses are "handmade" and uniquely
attractive. Many distance learning providers use
a cookie cutter template to shorten course
    development time.
  • Teacher interaction and challenging pedagogic
design are hallmarks of COOLSchool courses.
