A Game of Memory

INTRO My game is designed as an attempt to
learn and understand how our memory process
works. I will display a poster containing random
variables such as numbers, letters, images, or a
combination of these. During the visual display
of the information, players may only use their
memory and no other external devices such as a
pen, pencil notepad, calculator, etc. to try to
store, encode, and retrieve the information as
quickly as they can. After the display is
removed, players then, may use a writing utensil
to jot down on a piece of paper what they can
remember best. The level of difficulty vary
accordingly to the time interval and amount of
information being display at one time. LET THE
GAME BEGINS, AND MAY THE BEST MEMORY WINS!
WHY CHOOSE A GAME?
The Process of Memory
offers a complex challenge, and forces
players to use their critical and analytical
thinking skills. a great tool to utilize for
teaching and learning purposes. provide
more competition than a puzzle, and thus
enhances our overall learning process. Research
has shown conclusive evidence that a game can
stimulates our mind to think in new ways, and
initiate our intellectual capacity.

A game is often played by players competing
against other players or an opponent, and with a
set number of rules and regulation. Players
cannot communicate with other players in any
kind of ways, or disrupt other players
concentration, like verbally speaking to
themselves or make extraneous noise. Players
will play five rounds of competition consisting
of a warm-up, lightning, experimental,
challenge, and a bonus round. Players will
receive one point for each corrected response.
Bonus points can be earned and worth up to a
maximum of ten points depending on the level of
difficulty or if a player can recall the
information in exact sequential order.     At
the end of these five rounds, the game is over
and the player with the maximum number of points
WINS! It is that simple. In case of a tie,
only players who are tied will play an extra
tiebreaker round to determine the winner.
