Hands-On Tutorial

• Allows you to log in to NCSA machines,
• run HDF5 applications and view resulting HDF5
  files.
• Time not set aside for hands-on.

Need SSH client

• If you dont have one, you can get putty
• - Go to http//www.openssh.org/
• - From table on left of this page, select
  For Windows (under Alternatives)
• - Select putty
• - Download it (at top)

• Log in as workshop

  h5cc.sh or h5fc.sh script for compiling, as well
  as CMPALL, RUNALL, RMALL scripts.

What To Do

• Compile Programs Individually and Examine HDF5
  Files. For eg
• h5cc.sh readim
• readim
• h5dump storm.h5
• scripts CMPALL, RUNALL, RMALL
• These scripts will compile ALL of the examples
  in
• the directory, run them, and remove the files
  created.
