How stuff works

• Cameras are housed in a frameset which is located
  indoors.
• Reflecting mirrors are located outdoors at the
  shopping window in a safe place.
• Special cameras are locating the movements of the
  user and his hands.

How stuff works

• Usual user interfaces like mouse and keyboard are
  replaced by gestures.
• The MultiPoint software recognizes the position
  and gestures of the user and sends corresponding
  commands to the application and operating system.

How stuff works

• The user can be positioned directly in front of
  the screen, or on the opposite site of the
  street.
• The cameras are capturing the users movements and
  gestures and the software translates it into
  computer commands.

Projection surface

• The projection can be performed on suitable
  surfaces with sufficient reflection
  characteristics.
• A safe gesture recognition is even possible in
  environments with adverse lighting conditions.

Video beamer

• The visualization of the multi media content
  occurs via a video beamer.
• Front projections as well as rear projections can
  be performed.
• The content will be presented clear and sharp.
• Even very large format screens can be used in
  conjunction with MultiPoint

Plasma / TFT-LCD displays

• MultiPoint can also be used to steer and navigate
  content which is displayed on plasma screens.
• Various plasma screen sizes of up to 60 are not
  a challenge for MultiPoint.
• On a large format screen (6m x 4m) MultiPoint is
  capable to position the cursor with 3 mm
  precision.

• Gesture based applications should be structured
  similarly as websites for touch screens.
• Larger buttons
• Well spaced buttons
• No pull down menus
• No scrolls

• Buttons like home and back should be
  accessible at all times.
• Avoid right mouse clicks (Even though directly
  supported by MultiPoint)
• Avoid text input, or only via large virtual
  keyboards
• Avoid navigation buttons in the upper part of the
  presentation area.

MultiBrowser

• MultiBrowser is a full page browser that can be
  used with MultiPoint.
• The settings for the browser are stored in the
  multibrowser.ini
• The file will be stored either on the local
  computer or on an internet url.
• Multibrowser always starts with the start page.

MultiBrowser

• At times of inactivity MultiBrowser presents the
  content of attraction loops.
• The minimum time of inactivity can be specified
  in seconds.
• As soon as MultiBrowser recognizes a gesture it
  will automatically return to the start page.
• When activity is recognized in the motion sensing
  area MultiBrowser will return to the start page
  too.

• Upload of command scripts to the web server via
  CGI.
