American High School is a premier private online
high school. American High School is fully
accredited by Advanc ED SACS. We customize our
curriculum in order to meet the academic needs of
your student. We believe it is more productive
for the curriculum to fit the student rather
than trying to make the student fit a
curriculum.

ABOUT US
At American High School, we know that students
are most successful when their studies meet their
personal goals, interests, and abilities, so we
create customized learning programs to match.
For each new student, we carefully evaluate his
or her strengths, needs, and goals to develop a
personalized learning plan that works best for
him or her. Then, as students begin working in
our rich digital curriculum, our on-site and
virtual teachers, and Success Coaches carefully
monitor daily data about students performance
and adjust the learning program to meet their
needs.
For example, students are dynamically grouped for
classroom instructionboth on campus and
onlinebased on their performance in the
curriculum, with new groups formed every week or
two to focus on particular skills and concepts.
Students who are struggling in math or English
may meet daily with their face-to-face teachers
and may even report to campus during their normal
off-campus hours to catch up, while students
who are on track earn greater flexibility in
their classroom scheduling.

How to Choose an Accredited Online High School
Once you decide to go back to high school, youre
in for plenty of hard work. When you earn your
high school diploma, you open new doors to
everything from new careers to college and career
programs. Depending on what your goals are, you
could even start your career training while
youre still in high school. A growing number of
students are taking advantage of programs
designed for futures in graphic design. Many
students are also learning basic coding skills.
Whenever you choose a high school, the first
thing you should always look for is an accredited
program. This way, you know your credits will
count once you graduate. How do you know youre
picking the right school? Once you verify the
program is accredited, you can ask a few other
questions.

Refund Policy
If you cancel within 3 business days of the day
you signed up online, you will receive a refund
of all money you have paid, less the
non-refundable registration fee. There are no
refunds on promotional or discounted full year
tuition enrollments. If you cancel up to 5
business days after enrollment and before any
online exam or coursework has been taken or
reviewed, you will owe an administrative fee of
33.3 of the tuition, excluding any
non-refundable registration fees. You will
receive all money you have paid in excess of the
administrative fee and the non-refundable
registration fee within 45 days. A student who
withdraws or drops out after the fifth (5th)
business day must pay all school debts. Your
entire tuition obligation is due and payable
immediately. If you have signed up for a payment
plan and did not pay your tuition in full at the
time of withdrawal, then your scheduled payment
will continue until your obligation is met.
Students who do not clear all debts will not be
allowed to re- enter school until this has been
corrected.

accredited by AdvancED and SACS, which is one (1)
of the four (4) regional accreditors recognized
by the U.S. Department of Education. Every year
more parents and teens choose to study through

Why Choose American High School?
American High School is a private online school
for Grades 6-12. Our school has been in existence
since 2004 and over 25,000 students, across the
U.S. and internationally, have enrolled in our
online courses. Our online curriculum has been
time-tested and meets the academic needs of many
types of students, including but not limited to
accelerated, remedial, and gifted learners. The
majority of students that enroll plan to attend
college or enter the workforce upon graduation.
We offer a college preparatory curriculum
offering General, Honors, and AP courses. As of
Spring of 2013, our graduation rate was 93 for
those enrolled in 12th grade. An exceptional feat
for our students, as the curriculum is rigorous
and demanding, but the students aspired for
greatness.
