Gateway Quiz Information

• The Gateway Quiz covers material from sections
  1.3-1.7 on fractions and the order of operations.
• The first Gateway Quiz will be given on the day
  before Quiz 1 (in the fifth week of the
  semester).
• You will have the chance to take several practice
  Gateway Quizzes before then, and there will also
  be Gateway-type problems covered in each days
  class lecture and on each days homework
  assignment.
• Review/help/study sessions for the Gateway Quiz
  will be held in room 402 at 1115 on Mondays and
  Wednesdays and at 230 on Mondays, Tuesdays,
  Wednesdays and Thursdays.
• Students from any section of Math 010 are welcome
  to attend any of these sessions on any of the
  days at either time. No appointments are
  necessary.

Gateway Quiz Overview

• 8-question, paper and pencil quiz
• No calculators are allowed for this quiz, so
  dont use one when you take the practice
  versions.
• Gateway Quiz must be passed with 100 score
  before you can pass Math 010.
• You may take the quiz multiple times until you
  receive 100, with different versions of the quiz
  given each time.
• A sample gateway quiz was handed out on the first
  day of class additional practice versions, both
  online versions and printed versions, can be
  found in the Gateway Quiz Info menu area.

• REMEMBER Come to the open lab if you need help.
  There are more than 40 open lab hours each week.
