• Carcinogen Cancer causing substance.
• Tar Thick, sticky, dark fluid produced when
  tobacco burns.
• Carbon monoxide colorless, odorless, poisonous
  gas
• Smokeless tobacco tobacco that is sniffed
  through the nose, held in the mouth, or chewed.
• Leukoplakia thickened, white, leathery looking
  spots on the inside of the mouth that can develop
  into oral cancer.

The effects of one puff

• 5-7 seconds, nicotine reaches the brain
• Nicotine is absorbed into the bloodstream through
  the lining of the mouth and through the lungs
• Blood pressure rises
• Heart rate increases 20 beats per minute
• Oxygen supply to body tissues decreases
• Blood circulation decreases
• The first rush of stimulation in the brain is
  followed by depression and fatigue, which leads
  the smoker to seek more nicotine.
