The Shim

• A Shim gif is a 1x1 pixel transparent image
• Its main use is in space holding, tables will not
  shrink smaller than about 10px normally, you can
  insert a shim and make them be as small as 1
  pixel high
• Shim can also be used as a spacer, to align text

• In Fireworks File gt New
• Select 1 px by 1px as the size and choose
  Transparent and the background
