• We are continuing to work on Text Features
  and Text Structure this week.
• Text Features -- titles, subtitles, pictures,
  photos, captions, charts, graphs, time lines,
  maps, words in bold and italics, etc.
• Text Structure cause effect, chronological
  order, compare contrast, etc.
• Here are some questions to ask when you are
  reading with your child
• What can you learn from the pictures in the text?
• How do the text features help you understand the
  text better?
• How is this text organized? Why do you think it
  is organized this way?
• What is the authors point of view (opinion) of
  the topic they are writing about? How do you
  know?
• What is your point of view (opinion) of the topic
  of the text?
• In Language Arts, we will continue working
  on capitalization and punctuation.

STEM Mrs. Miller Learning Goal Math
Quadrilaterals Students will learn about
different shapes and their attributes, and how to
find perimeter of different shapes. At the end
of the year, your child will take a timed test on
multiplication facts. They need to start
