SuperJANET5 Infrastructure

• Core infrastructure accepted
• All core IP routers installed
• Infrastructure to all RNs delayed into July
• UKERNA / RNOs transition to SJ5 July to November
  2006 (avoiding clearing where possible)
• SuperJANET4 ceases end December 2006

Dublin connection

• A breakout in Dublin has been put into place
• Agreement with HeaNET made to
• Replace the existing connection to JANET with 1GE
  SuperJANET5 connections over the collector arc to
  the Warrington C-PoP and to the Glasgow C-PoP
• Other bandwidth channels possible for research
  collaborations
• Discussions with DANTE to provide a 10G
  wavelength from London to Dublin over SJ5 for a
  HeaNET backup connection to GEANT2
