- There are many ways to recruit HR Professionals
- Invite each Board Member and volunteer to recruit
- Encourage peers, managers, and HR Business
Partners to join - Invite friends in HR to attend a monthly meeting
as your guest - Solicit vendors used by each of your Board
Members - Invite your At-Large Membership to join your
chapter using email or mass mail distribution - Export reports from your website to send email
reminder to local members with upcoming renewal
dates

- Each of us want to feel needed. Host a Quarterly
New Member Breakfast. - During the breakfast introduce your members to
the various websites to demonstrate on-line
resources available to each. - SHRM National website

- A quick review of each site to show how simple
and interactive each site is - Allow time for networking, its one of the
reasons members join - Encourage Board Members to shadow with 1-3 new
members

- Our membership (both student and professional)
has many talents which can be utilized through
the Chapter. We need to tap those talents to
utilize their expertise. - Board members head the committees to create a
succession plan for the chapter and engagement
opportunities for members - Allow a forum or tool for members to volunteer
their talents (ie. Speakers, marketing, technical
skills, event planning, decorating, etc.) - Respond to volunteers timely and encourage their
input and feedback
