What They Do
  • HOME Line provides free legal, organizing,
    education and advocacy services so that tenants
    throughout Minnesota can solve their own rental
    housing problems. They work to improve public and
    private policies relating to rental housing by
    involving affected tenants in the process.

Foreclosure Affects Tenants
  • Data can be difficult to find
  • For 2006 and 2007, 61 of all foreclosures in
    Minneapolis were non-homestead properties.

  • An increase in calls
  • 1068 foreclosure calls in 2008
  • 377 foreclosure calls in 2007
  • 72 foreclosure calls in 2006
  • 215 foreclosure calls in 2009 (January and
    February only)--up from 132 for the same time in
    2008
