What we dont fund
  • ACTIVITIES THAT ARE NOT ARTS RELATED
  • Film, unless it relates to artists work in the
    moving image.
  • No public benefit either in the short or longer
    term
  • Retrospective work i.e. goods or services bought
    or ordered before offer or activities that have
    already taken place
  • Second-hand equipment
  • Studentsfor activities related to their course
    of study or their tuition fees
  • Activities or events mainly taking place outside
    Englandunless benefit brought back to England

How much?
  • Grants to organisations normally range from 200
    to 100,000 and can cover activities lasting up
    to three years. The average grant to an
    organisation in 2004/5 was 18,000
  • In the South East region in 2005/6 we had a
    little over 6.5 million to distribute through
    Grants for the Arts to arts organisations

    deprivation or communities at risk of social
    exclusion?

    communities that have limited cultural
    infrastructure?
  • Will it contribute to the arts infrastructure of
    the South East?

  • 6 weeks for applications of 5,000 or less
  • 12 weeks for applications for over 5,000
