  Peter and John, and perceived that they were
  unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled and
  they took knowledge of them, that they had been
  with Jesus.

• John 1242-43, among chief rulers many
  believed on him but because of the Pharisees
  they did not confess him, lest they should be put
  out of the synagogue For they loved the praise
  of men more than the praise of God.

  But by what means he now seeth, he is of age
  ask him he shall speak for himself. they feared
  the Jews for the Jews had agreed already, that
  if any man did confess that he was Christ, he
  should be put out of the synagogue.

• Authority, Mark 1128-30, Scribes and Pharisees
  asked Jesus, By what authority doest thou these
  things?The baptism of John, was it from

• Compassion, Matthew 1414, Jesus went forth, and
  saw a great multitude, and was moved with
  compassion toward them, and he healed their
  sick.
• Zeal for truth, John 213-15, Jesus went up to
  Jerusalem, And found in the temple those that
  sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers
  of money sitting And when he had made a scourge
  of small cords, he drove them all out of the
  temple

  in their purse But be shod with sandals and
  not put on two coats.
• Luke 1831-34, On the way to Jerusalem, He
  says,all things that are written by the
  prophets concerning the Son of man shall be
  accomplished. For he shall be delivered unto the
  Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully
  entreated, and spitted on And they shall scourge
  him, and put him to death and the third day he
  shall rise again. And they understood none of
  these things
