Beethoven took a step back from composing from
1781 to 1789
Beethovens most important composition was in the
year of 1790.
Neefe trained his student Beethoven until he
first began his appearances in late 1781 through
1782.
11
20s and Loss of Hearing
  • 1881 Beethoven was loosing his hearing.
  • 1881 Beethoven had complete loss of hearing

12
20s /Loss of Hearing
  • Beethoven was born December 17, 1770. When
he was born he was baptized.
  • His father died when he was 20. When he
started losing his hearing he started speaking
louder and he got weaker. But he got better at
seeing and smelling. He suffered in pain when he
couldnt tell people about his hearing.
  • There was a different listing on his birth
date. Based on this different birth date there
opened itself the possibility that his father
    wasnt the real father.
  • And in late 20s he went deaf. In a 1826
letter to his lifetime friend Wegler he finally
stood up for the moral integrity of his mother.
  • Beethoven died in Vienna March 26 1827.

got a sharp sense of smell and sight when he went
deaf.

Ludwig van BeethovenBeethovens Continuing
Influenceby Kayliss Carr
Ludwig van Beethoven is an influence to other
yet still continuing. He is a great influence to
young pianists and young music artists. There
are movies, video games, play and much more
about his interesting life. Did you know that
Beethovens music is used to teach little babies
in a series called, Baby Einstein?
24
Continuing Influence
  • Following the last refrain the children chorus
takes over the Fur Elise theme from the Beethoven
    tune.
  • In the history music the influence exerted by a
composer and his work had little correlation with
    whether the comes.
  • A little girl at her piano recital sings to the
    tune of Fur Elise.

Phillip D
25
Beethoven is an Inspiration
  • Even though Beethoven was deaf, he still created
the music in the Baby Einstein series that is
    still around today.
  • His music is still used as background music for
Wal-Mart, Victorias Secret, and many others.

A Note from Mrs. Fox Mrs. Gustafson
We are so proud of the 5th graders at Steele
School. This PowerPoint is their first effort in
creating a multi-media presentation. It is
unedited by us, and totally student generated.
Although there are some errors, we are very
pleased with the final product.
