• Parables are stories with a special meaning a
  message about what is the right thing to do.

Why did Jesus tell parables?

• Parables were an easy medium through which Jesus
  could tell people how God wanted them to live
• They were easier to remember than lots of rules.

Jesus clashes with the religious teachers

• Jesus told people they need only keep TWO laws
  Love God and love your neighbour
• This lead Jesus to clash with the teachers of the
  religious of the laws who gave people many laws
  613!!
