Rabbit's Homes

  • Where does a rabbit live? Rabbits live in
holes in the ground called dens. They dig tunnels
all over the den. All dens must have 2 ways to
enter and exit the hole. Rabbit's like to live
    near lots of bushes.

Hello! A Baby Rabbit Is Being Born
  • Baby rabbits are born from February through
September. They can have up to two to four babies
in a litter. All rabbits are born blind and
helpless. The babies use their legs to crawl .
Their eyes open in four to five days . The mother
only feeds her babies twice a day. Female
rabbits take care of babies for 12 to 15 days.
The father goes away and never sees their
    babies.
  • Baby rabbits playing with their friends.

WHO HAS BIG EARS?
  • Rabbits have excellent hearing because they have
big ears. Rabbits have good EYESIGHT. They can
see behind them, in front of them and side to
side. If you are on a rabbits head they cant
see you, but they can hear you. The eyes are on
each side of their head. This helps the rabbit
    see predators while eating grass.
  • Rabbits can run away from predators( enemies) by
running quickly and making sharp turns.
