    -eating animal that lives on land
  • It grows about 9 feet long and weighs over 1,500
    pounds.
  • Most wild bears live north of the Equator.

  • No wild bears in Africa, Antartica, or Australia.
  • Most bears look bigger than they are because of
    their long thick hair and loose skin.
  • Most animals walk and run on the toes, but bears
    put their whole foot on the ground with each step

  • A bear has one to four young, but usually has 2
    cubs.
  • They live 15 to 30 years.
  • Most bears spend the winter sleeping a lot, but
    they dont actually hibernate.
