distracters which may be unique to reserve
component soldiers. To assist and keep Quality
Soldiers in training.

12MANDATORY RELEASE DATE (MRD)
- All Split Training Option-1 soldiers (NG AR)
are guaranteed a return to home of record for
civilian education or employment commitments on a
pre-determined date. - MRDs may be changed to a later date if the
Liaison NCO coordinates with the soldiers
employer or school. - MRD Exceptions are handled on a case by case
basis. - Concurrence from State Adjutant General's Office
or US Army Reserve Command (USARC) is mandatory
before returning a soldier to HS. Reference
