11Cage Code Requirements
- Cage Code is a five-digit code (numbers and
letters) - Federal Tax ID is the basis for this number
- Cage Code is not the Dunn Bradstreet (Dunns)
number - After receiving Cage Code, colleges should submit
Cage Code to State ESO/TA Manager - Cage Code is forwarded to appropriate authority
and entered into iMARC - Colleges can then receive FTA from the ARNG
12Additional Information
- Schools must have a Cage Code to be paid.
- Expired Cage Codes cannot be paid until updated
by school (renewed annually). - Student Education Statement (SES) may include
several Soldiers. - Changes made by the school for course data or
dollar amounts do not require a corrected copy.
- Schools should annotate any changes on the SES
that need to be addressed prior to returning to

27Purpose
- Collect and compile data on ARNG Soldiers
attending Education Support Center partnership
schools - Streamline reporting process in accordance with
Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the ARNG
28ARNG MOA Excerpt
- Section IV. Institution Responsibilities,
Paragraph F. Periodic Reports states -
- The Institution will contact ESC for a user name
and password in order to log onto the Student
Verification System (SVS). The Institution agrees
to access the ESC SVS portal on a bi-annual basis
in the months of January and July. The
Institution will verify, through the SVS, all
ARNG enrollments and graduates identified there.
In addition, the Institution agrees to enter into
the SVS, on a bi-annual basis in the months of
January and July, all known ARNG enrollees and
graduates not already identified in the SVS. All
updated information will be due no later than the
last working day of January and July.
