    having slaves in their country.

  • Americans were upset by this and won the next
    battle and the war.

    allowed)
  • Within a decade, Texas is admitted as a state in
    the U.S. (slavery allowed)
  • President Polk (slave holder) allowed this to
    happen, thus creating an imbalance of slave
    states in the U.S.
