    republic was established.
  • Politics power was unstable until 1985 elections
    when Mario was elected President.
  • Portugal was the first country to use euro for
    currency.
  • In 1999 they gave Macau back to China ending its
    over sea empire.

  • They celebrate all Christian holidays (Easter and
    Christmas).
