Time Management
  • Are you getting enough sleep? Sleep should be
    32-35 of your time. (Not "broken" sleep either-
    sleeping a straight 8 hours is important for you
    as a teenager.

  • Do you take time to eat . . . I mean only eat? Do
    you multi-task, eat on the run, or "race" to get
    done to get on with something else? 30 minutes
    per meal would be a good minimum to shoot for.

  • Is you homework (written and studying between
    4-8? Lower means you are not really reaching
    your potential, higher means you might want to
    consider how you manage your time while in school
    or reevaluate the way you study).

  • Are you getting the recommended 4 or more
    physical exercise for a teen. Remember the ASICS
    logo?... It stands for Anima Sana In Corpore Sano
    (A sound mind and a sound body).

  • Are you involved after school clubs? Any
    volunteer work/ community service? Colleges and
    employers value people who are involved/ "give
    back" and aren't just "takers."

  • Is your Facebook/ gaming etc. a bigger than
    your study time? How can you possibly meet your
    goals from Part 1 if that is the case? If you
    can, than is your schedule really challenging
    your abilities?

  • Where does family fit in? Your BFF's and "peeps"
    are rarely the ones that will be there in a real
    time of need. You will understand this much
    better when you are older and have a family of
    your own.

  • Do you do anything to help at home? Your parents
    are working hard to provide you the opportunities
    to be successful and follow a dream. Are you
    saving them any time at home by doing some of the
    "little things" around the house?
