28July 1, 2002 County Population Estimates
- Issued by Population Estimates Branch, Population
Division, U.S. Census Bureau - Tentative release date is Thursday, April 17
- If your countys population has declined from
last years estimate, it doesnt necessarily mean
that your county is losing population. The
Census Bureau revises the prior year estimate
(July 1, 2001, in this instance). In some cases
where the 2001 estimate was revised downward, the
2002 estimate may be lower than the original 2001
estimate. If the 2002 estimate is greater than
the revised 2001 estimate, the county is still
gaining population.
