How It Works

• Wood waste or biomass from another source is
  burned to heat water in a boiler. The resulting
  steam drives a turbine which generates
  electricity.
• When biomass is burned, some of the heat
  produced can be used to gassify the material. It
  can then be used in a gas turbine generator,
  which is much more efficient than a conventional
  boiler.
