9Construction funding strategy for the LSST
- The LSST Board has decided the LSST construction
will be a cost- managed project for 295M (2006
base) - The LSST construction will be funded by a
private/public partnership - Private funding will be used to purchase the
long-lead mirrors (30M) - NSF funding will support the Telescope, Data
Management, and PMO - DOE funding will support the Camera
