• Dear members,
• First of all, Happy New Year 2005. And Happy
  Chinese New Year (starting 9 February 2005). Now
  it is the year of Rooster and may this year bring
  to everyone happiness and success, even we are
  still in the shadow of tragedy in Aceh during
  tsunami. Also concerning this, we took part in
  Caisas Charity Concert Apua Aasiaan on 19
  February and our children performed the
  Leikkitanssi again.
• Welcome to new members (of which some have joined
  us already starting in May 2004) Sirkka-Liisa
  Sihvonen, Terttu de Heij, Maarit Lindfors, Pia
  Lindfors, Taina Tebrerrou, Aleksander Ramsay,
  Sisko Ramsay, Marion Liu, Triwahyuni (Yuni),
  Loren Rima.
• We are missing our Treasurer Galih who is doing
  his work training in Indonesia now and will
  return in a year. For Treasurer job, it is
  temporarily responsibility of the Chairman.
• In this edition, you will see some activities
  that our Nusantara has taken part organized
  during year 2004 with delightful pictures. Big
  thanks for all the Board members, members and
  volunteers who have contributed endlessly in many
  of the activities we have organized. Also you
  will see the Board of Meeting result from
  December 2004.
• Payment for Membership is also overdue, so let me
  put the payment slip in this edition so that you
  could transfer to our account ?
• And..last but not least...we are still waiting
  for any articles from members, it could be
  anecdotes, small story, small info on your family
  or holiday trip plus picture, and some cross
  cultural experience on Asia in general
  Indonesia in particular.

  Asian kitchen shopping tours). Fee is only 2.

  Free entrance. Place Caisa Party Hall.
• International Womens Day, 5 March 2005. Program
  on TV Channel 1. There will be food selling (
  3,5 only), then souvenir selling.
• MAAILMA KYLÄSSÄ" by KEPA on 28-29MAY 2005.
  Place Rautatientori Kaisaniemi. Program food
  selling
• Nusantara 2 years party (May 2005). We need ideas
  on what how to organize.
• Helsinki Day (June).
• Independence Day party (August 2005). We
  definitely need ideas and volunteers to make it
  happen. ?

Asian Food Culture Workshop Caisa Messut Oct
2004

• The important events in autumn 2004.
• 1. Caisa Fair (Caisa Messut)
• 22-23 October 2004.
• Program souvenir selling, LeikkiTanssi by
  Cempaka Nusantara, Asian Food Culture Workshop
  (South East Asian Food culture and table manners,
  Japanese Sushi).
• Christmas Bazaar (10 11 Dec 2004)
• Caisas Pikku Joulu (22 Dec 2004)
• Nusantaras successful Asian Food Workshop won
  Caisas Directors heart (Ms. Johanna Maula),
  that she wanted us to offer the similar program
  (making sushi) to Caisa staff for their internal
  Pikku Joulu party.
• The party was a success, there was abundant
  amount of food. We divided the people into groups
  to make it easier for them to learn and they all
  joined the competition of own sushi
  presentation. We got good feedback from the
  people and that they all had fun.
