Spelling Spree3rd Grade

• Remember Your child only has 10 words from this
  list. Your child should have highlighted those
  words on Monday after the pretest. All spelling
  activities are using their 10 spelling words.
• Morning Work Activities turn into homework if not
  completed.

Math Mania

• We have finished working with Graphing and your
  child did a fabulous job!
• We are currently working with place value up to
  the thousands. One difficult thing for your
  child to remember
• Place of the 3 in 326 is in the hundreds place.
• The value of the 3 in 326 is worth 300 because
  there is 3 groups of 100 which total 300.
• Soon we will be moving into Properties of
  Addition.

Reading In Review

• We will be using novels and our Reading text book
  throughout the year. Activities will come from
  these sources and are began in class and finished
  for homework. Ideas to work on
• 3rd Cause and Effects, Inferencing (reading
  into the story to discover what will happen next
  or what is happening that is not told to you in
  the reading), Sequencing, Fact / Opinion, Main
  Idea and Details, and Context Clues (looking for
  clues in the sentence to help explain a difficult
  word or phrase).
