Dos

• Do dress for a formal evening event. Men wear
  business suits with a tie. Women wear cocktail
  dresses.

• Do introduce yourself to everyone at your table
  circle around the table before you sit down.
• Do place your napkin in your lap as soon as you
  sit down. When you excuse yourself, place your
  napkin on your chair. Place the napkin beside
  your plate when the meal is finished.

• Do use the BMW method bread on the left, meal
  plate in the middle, and the water is on the
  right.
• Do ask the wait staff for another glass or plate
  if someone mistakenly takes it.
• Do us the eating utensil furthest away from the
  meal plate and work you way inwards.

Donts

• Dont reach across the table to shake hands
  during introductions.
• Dont eat until everyone at your table is served.
  If you are waiting for a meal, you may instruct
  everyone to start eating.
• Dont interrupt a conversation that two other
  individuals may be having, without first giving
  them the chance to invite you into the
  conversation.
