If you have not completed the emergency
notification enrollment process you will receive
this notice upon going to the Student Center.
This message will not go away until you either
OPT-IN or OPT-OUT of Emergency Notification.

• Important notice! After you indicate your choice,
  this message will no longer be displayed when you
  access the Student Center. In the future, you
  may receive a validation message that requires
  you to validate the accuracy of your cell phone
  number and emergency notification information.

Click Continue to go to the Phone Numbers page.

If you do not have cell phone information and you
wish to be notified in the event of an emergency,
you will need to add a cell phone number.
Click Add A Phone Number to add a cell phone
number.

Select Cellular from the Phone Type drop down
list.

Enter your cell phone number.

Select the option that you authorize JMU to send
you a campus related emergency notification.

• You need to decide how you want to be contacted,
  either by Text Message or by Voice Recording.

Prior to saving your information, you must
validate that your information is accurate.

Click Save to Add your cell phone number and
Emergency Notification Information.

If you have chosen to be notified in an
emergency, you must provide a ten digit cell
phone number, otherwise an error message will
occur when you try to save your information.
Select OK to remove the message and enter a ten
digit cell phone number.

If you have decided to no longer receive
Emergency Notification, then select the option
I am electing to not receive.
When you select the option to not be notified, a
warning message is displayed. Click OK to remove
the message.
Click Save to save your changes.

Prior to saving, you must must confirm that your
information is accurate by checking the validated
box. Click OK to remove the message.

If you chose to be notified via a text message, a
confirmation message is displayed. After reading
the message, Click OK to remove the message.

• Click OK to confirm save.

If you replace your cell phone number
You must confirm that the cell phone and
emergency notification information is still
correct.
Click Save to save your changes.

Click Delete if you wish to delete your cell
phone number.

If you delete your cell phone number and you have
added Emergency Notification information, you
will be warned that the Emergency Notification
information will be deleted. Click OK to remove
the message.
Click Yes-Delete if you are sure you want to
delete the phone number.

If you want to change your cell phone and/or
emergency notification information after you have
initially added it, you can do so by going to the
Phone Numbers page from the Student Center.
Click Phone Numbers to go to the Phone Numbers
page.

Verify your option 1 Authorize JMU to notify
you in the event of an emergency. 2 Choose not
to be notified in the event of an emergency.
Verify the Contact Method is still correct.
Verify that your cell phone and emergency
information is correct by checking the validate
box.
Click Save to save your cell phone number and
Emergency Notification Information.

Periodically you will receive this validation
