Forsyth County Attendance Policy
  • Please make sure your child is at school and in
    the classroom by 820 a.m.
  • Vacations are not excused absences.
  • If your child is absent from school you must send
a note stating why your child was absent within 5
days of the absence. -Please print student name
and my name on the note!
  • Three tardies turn into an unexcused absence.
  • Try to make appointments after school, whenever
possible. Always request an excuse from the
doctor or dentist to send in.
  • I will keep a MISSED WORK FOLDER on the
absentees desk. Throughout the day, we will add
papers and instructions for the student to use to
make up class and homework assignments. All
quizzes and tests and projects will remain here
and be completed here. All missed assignments are
due within 5 days of the students return to
    school.

Homework Policy/ Agendas
  • Students are to bring their agendas to school
every day and home each night! Please
    sign/initial them daily.
  • Every day students copy their homework into
    their agendas .
  • Homework Policy
  • Homework will be assigned Monday through
Thursday. However, on occasion, the students may
need to study for a test over the weekend.
  • Each time an assignment is missing, the student
will fill out a NO HOMEWORK form which tells
what assignment they missed and most importantly
why. They will sign it and return the form to me.
Students will miss free time during the day to
complete the assignment and reflect on personal
responsibility. If your child misses three
assignments, I will call to discuss the problem.
    This practice teaches students about
accountability which will serve them well here at
Johns Creek and as they continue their
    educational journey.
