Content building Grant 2006-2007
  • The content building grant was awarded in May
    2006
  • I3N Database workshop in 13-16 September 2006
  • 21 Participants with key agencies represented -
    AWIG
  • Facilitated by Silvia Ziller (Brazil) and Sergio
    Zalba (Argentina)
  • Consultant was hired
  • New I3N Lead and consultant were welcomed as a
    part of the alien Invasive Working Group

Content building Grant 2006-2007 (2)
  • Catalogue was first digitised into the new format
    of the I3N database thus using IABIN standards
    and tools ( 52 spp.)
  • Agencies and experts were contacted to add new
    information 30 individual from 12 agencies
  • Presently 84 spp. and 271 occurrences
  • Public Education tool deliverables ( 2 poster and
    2 brochures)

Activities as a result of Content Building Grant
  • Participated in several workshops for
    consultations for IAS input
  • Work with the AIWG ( 2 airport poster )
  • CABI project presentation of IABIN and I3N
    database and web template
  • Encouragement of interagency collaboration

Future Plans
  • Upload the database using the web interface also
    provided with the database June 07
  • Produce other useful materials such as a
  • research paper
  • field guide for identification
